2019 Priorities and Celebrations at the “Rest”

As Pastor, it is my responsibility and duty to share the vision God has given me for the ministry of Pilgrim Rest.  As presented on Sunday, February 3, 2019, listed below are the 2019 Priorities and Celebrations at the “Rest”.  I pray that we will unite as a church family like never before and engage our lives to share in the vision that I believe will strengthen our church, community and beyond.

23rd Year Appreciation

Greetings! Here we are again Pilgrim Rest! You with outstretched arms embracing your Pastor in celebration of 23 years of service and me filled with gratitude for your constant love and support. I realize that the work of this ministry is too laboring to do alone yet too important not to be done. I’m thankful for the various ministries at Pilgrim Rest that help enrich the spiritual lives of God’s people. It’s a tremendous task for those who have agreed to assist me by serving in ministry leadership. Thank You! I’m grateful for those who dedicate themselves to attend worship services remembering “not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together” (Hebrews 10:25a) in order to encourage one another on this journey of faith. We’ve shared laughter and tears, joys and disappointments to remain steadfast in the faith. Let’s not give up now! I continue to remind you of I Corinthians 2:9 that states “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” To those who understand me and to those who do not yet, thank you, for your patience as I continue to seek God’s direction for Pilgrim Rest. Thank you, Edna, for graciously enduring life as a pastor’s wife. I am very much aware that I am indebted to so many others for so much. Please accept my heartfelt “Thank You” for all that has been done and for that that will be done. Amen
I receive it all to the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
