The Deaconess Ministry serves under the leadership and spiritual direction of the Pastor and is governed by his leadership and the church through prayer, support, encouragement and fellowship. The Deaconess Ministry's main purpose is to provide active support for the two ordinances of the church, Baptism and Holy Communion. The Deaconess Ministry's goals are to mentor the young women of the church/community, comfort those in mourning and distress, and to also visit/assist the sick and needy.

Who Can Participate:  Spouses of the appointed Deacon Ministry, Minister Wives and appointed Mothers. 

The Deaconess Ministry is an active advocate with many ministries of the church, and members of this ministry can be found working fervently and faithfully in other ministries throughout the church.  Look for members of this ministry serving tirelessly in Women's Mission, Music Ministry, Children and Youth Ministry, After-School Ministry, Summer Ministry, Children & Youth Ministry, Christian Education, Hospitality, Recreation, Sunday School, Bible Study, Usher Board, Church Staff, and  Public Relations.  You may also find members volunteering in the community and serving in various leadership roles in the workforce.  The Deaconess Ministry is committed to faithfully serving the Lord while being a positive example for our young women and youth. 

“I commend  unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: That you may receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also." (Romans 16:1, 2, KJV).
